Cougars win St.Paddy's thriller

Once again, despire days and days of rain, the good weather came out in time for the big St.Patrick's Day Parade. The crowds poured down to Granville and Howe Street for the Parade in which once again the Cougars and Eagles got to show off their wares.

Almost 200,000(per the daily newspapers) were thrilled with some fine Aussie Rules skills on display as the boys launched long bombs up and down the streets (and a few into the crowd thanks to a certain S.Grills).

After the Parade and of course a quick beer stop it was onto Andy Livingstone Field for the big Gaelic clash. After losing the game for the past 3 years, it was time for some revenge against the Irish. As the game progressed, it was clear that playing in recent the Gaelic 7-a-side tourney over the last 5 weeks had helped out our skills - BIG TIME. From the start the BcFooty boys got off to a quick lead and barely gave it up throughout the whole game. With a few minutes to go the Irish evened the scores before the boys put them away with a couple of late goals.
