Stampede Cup - What a weekend

Well the Stampede Cup has come and gone and what a weekend it was. For all the players and fans that supported us and attended the trip it truly was a great showing. Here are the game results (as best as I can figure)

Game #1 Red Deer versus BCFooty (Cougles) (2pm)

Red Deer 2.3.15 lost to BCFooty Cougles 6.4.40

Goal Scorers - Jason B 1, Ben Lomas 1, Dave Sullivan 1, Ryan P 1, Teddy 1, Stevo 1

Game #2 Calgary Kangaroos versus BCFooty (Cougles)

Calgary Kangaroos 9.6.60 defeated BCFooty Cougles 5.2.32 Goal Kickers to follow!

Game #3 Calgary Bears versus BCFooty (Cougles)

Calgary Bears 4.3.27 defeated by BCFooty Cougles 8.6.54 Goal Kickers to follow!

While it was great to see several die hard fans attend the event - it was even greater to show with a team of 22 players. The list was as follows -

Ted Murray (C) and Dave Sullivan (C), Ryan Pedrotti, Karl Price, Peter Brennan, Dennis O'Sullivan, jason Benchic, Dane Black, Scott Cockburn, Richard Palmister - Hughes, Blaise Hilty, Will Vanderlouw, Mick Peddler (Voted Best Cougles for tournament - Well Done!), Ben McCracken, Mark Fraser, Scott Fleming, Steve Haywood, Clayton, Stuart, Ben Lomas, Simon Panossian, Luke Handley.

The Stampede festivities were nothing short of fantastic and many many photos will soon be circulating - of specific mention for the weekend

#1. Cougles players suffered the most blood noses of the weekend for any team (5 in Total) and thanks to Mrs Sullivan for offering medical assistance when required.

#2. Cougles supporters nearly outnumbers the locals - thanks to Elaine, Lisa, Jessica, Mrs Sulli, Mrs Perdrotti, Amanda, the Lomas fan squad, the Mydland family, and anyone else that snuck in to watch! Great to have the support of people like yourselves.

#3. Watching the fellas do line dancing at Nashville North

#4. Sighting a bear on the way home! SWEET DREAMS!

#5. The shannigans at the BudWeiser Tent - the lads being pushed for a brawl - and none of them had even had a chance to down a single beer!!

#6. The meal and drinks and the "Sail and Anchor" - both the Eagles and Cougars sharing the war stories and many many laughs!

#7. The delay at the Avis car rental - always something gos wrong! What a NIGHTMARE!

#8. The lack of Tea bags in Salmon Arm - what a NIGHTMARE!!!!

#9. The bloodbath at the Train Station on Saturday night - truly a NIGHMARE!!!

and #10. the great storeis that are better left unsaid - truly PRICELESS!!!!
